Cars is Disney Pixars 7th feature film and what a cracker it is. The story revolves around an arrogant rookie race car called Lightning McQueen who finds himself (personally) after getting lost on Route 66 on the way to big race.
Lightning has to spend some time in a small town called Radiator Springs and falls in love with the people of the town. They help him to see what's really important in life.
The cast list includes Owen Wilson (Lightning McQueen), Paul Newman (Doc Hudson), Bonnie Hunt (Sally) and Larry the Cable Guy (who does a wonderful comic character in Mater).
The movie has a superb soundtrack that compliments the movie with music from Rascal Flats, Sheryl Crow, John Mayer, and James Taylor.
The best thing about this movie is the characters. You just have to fall in love with them and care about what's happening. There isn't a character that doesn't influence the movie positively when they drive on screen including the bit part characters. The bad guy (Chick Hicks) is perfect. Paul Newman acts the part of Doc extremely well. I could keep raving about everybody in this movie. It's just great!
This is a great movie for all of the family. There are a couple of off color phrases but nothing offensive (Check out the IMDB parents guide for a listing).
