Twenty three years ago a cartoon came out that changed children everywhere. Everyone everywhere was able to see the amazing Autobots roll out into action taking on the world by storm. As with every new kids show on television, toys began to roll out left and right. In no time at all you could pretty much find a transformer toy in most every house nearly world wide. The Transformer Cartoon Series had definitely started a wave of excitement. The toy industry was booming with such a hot item that they could hardly keep them on the shelves. With a new series coming out regularly, each with their own line of robots in disguise, the transformers have always managed to stay on top of the toy pile for decades. Below is a list of the most popular toys and the order that they came out.

Transformers- These are considered the classics of the transformer toys. They were around in the USA from 1984 through 1990 and in the UK and Canada they were sold between 1984 and 1993. These phases of toys were referred to as the Generation one.
Generation 2- These were made in the USA from 1993 to 1995 and in the UK and Canada during 1994 to 1995
Beast Wars - were made between 1996 and 1999 in the USA only.
Machine Wars- This was a limited release by KB toys only and was made in 1997.
Beast machines- These were made from 2000 to 2001
Robots in Disguise- These were made in 2001- to 2002
G1 Commemorative Series- went for three years 2002 to 2005
Armada- made in 2002 to 2003
Universe- made from 2003 through 2006 11
Go Bots the smallest Transformers- these guys were made from 2003 to 2004
Energos- made for two years 2003 to 2005
Alternators- these were made for awhile. 2003 through 2007
Cybertron Series- 2005 through 2007
Master Piece Series- This is still made today but has been around since 2004
Titanium- This series is still around as well but was started n 2006
Classics- These were made for one year 2006 to 2007
Star Wars Transformers- Also another that is still around and was also started n 2006


And finally Transformers The Movie: made in 2007 Yes the cartoon series sparked many great ideas and made the creator a very wealthy man. There is still so much most have not seen when it comes to the transformer TV show. The transformers have been around for 23 years and they are still going strong.
