It all started when Earl, who lives a life of poor choice and mistake having won a small lottery jackpot and he vows to change his way of life. But he discovers he has the winning ticket, Earl was hiy by a car and the ticket blows out and he lies unconscious in the street. While Earl was recovering in the hospital and watching television. He saw Carson Daley in the show who attributes his success in doing good things for others. A light bulb goes off in Earls dim head and he sets out to right every wrong he has done starting with a grade school geek.
The Characters
* Jason Lee as Earl J. Hickey a jobless iwth no respect for authority. Self-described as the guy who would\'ve stolen anything that wasn\'t nailed. Earl now stands by the principle of good karma by doing good things and avoiding bad ones.
* Ehtan Suplee as Randy Hickey, a dim-witted brother of who assist Earl in righting his wrongs. Though, he helps Earl in the list he thinks that when the list is finish they can start stealing again. He doesn\'t believe that E.T is an alien but a "monkey".
* Jaime Pressley as Joy Turner, Earl\'s ex-wife mother of Dodge and Earl Jr., neither of whom are Earl\'s biological children. She is also a good fighter but still appreciates the people around her, even Earl, a loving and dedicated mother. Joy operates a nail parlor in her home and enjoy\'s watching Springer.
* Nadine Velazquez as Catalina Aruca Hickey, a maid at the hotel where Earl and Randy resides. An illegal immigrant that later got involved with Randy. She also worked for a month as a pole dancer and became successful at it. She and Joy have a mutual hatred stemming back from when they first met.
* Eddie Steeples as Darnell "Crab Man" Turner as Joy\'s new husband and father of Earl Jr. He works as a cook at the local Crab Shack. He has a fondness for cheese and a pet box turtle name Mr. Turtle. Before marrying Joy and moving to the trailer park, he lived in Camden with his grandmother, where he grew a large amount of marijuana in his bedroom; his grandmother didn\'t know what the plants were and simply thought he enjoyed gardening.
A one of a kind TV series that will definitely make you laugh from start to finish
