A parade, nighttime shows, amusement rides and lots of cowboys and bucking broncos are served up at this western Canadian festival.
Each March brings with it excitement around the Caribou Carnival. Aside from the entertainment parade and igloo building contests, the Canadian Championship Dog Derby takes place. The three days race is approximately 240 kilometers long. The Winnipeg Folk Festival which is held annually for three days in the summer is the country biggest and best known. It features more than two hundred concerts, crafts and international cuisine.
